Butyrate is a short chain fatty acid produced by the bacteria in our colon. It is also the starting point of fatty acid production in the body. It supports the formation of friendly bacteria that help promote digestive health. Butyrate helps cleanse the liver, the gallbladder, and the biliary tree. It also helps with the removal of renegade fats that accumulate as we get older.
